As a principal member of Consolidated Solar Technologies, LLC, Kevin Bassalleck has been responsible for myriad operations since the company’s inception. Over the years, Kevin has worked diligently to establish CST as a vanguard of renewable energy development and policy influence in New Mexico. Through the formation of strategic partnerships with large solar energy providers like Sunpower and Conergy AG, CST has single-handedly changed the PV market in New Mexico. In 2009, the first full year of operations at CST, the company is on track to have PV project development revenues in excess of $ 9 MM dollars, with 2010 project revenues expected to top $ 20 MM. Kevin Bassalleck’s notable accomplishments with CST include:
- The development of the first commercial scale PV project in the Albuquerque metro area, a 150 kW system located at the Albuquerque International Airport
- Positioned CST as the highest-scoring integrator of PV solutions for the City of Albuquerque through an extensive RFP process that created a pool of qualified PV vendors to develop the city’s PV projects
- Worked with utilities in New Mexico to develop incentive programs for distributed generation systems on customer facilities in a manner that will ensure stable and measured growth in the New Mexico PV market
- Worked with large educational institutions and large publicly-traded companies to develop PV projects scheduled for 2010 completions that will be the largest PV projects in the state, and will drive over $ 15 MM in revenue
- Helped position CST as the fastest-growing PV integrator in New Mexico, and a leader in renewable energy policy collaboration and political awareness
- Established CST as the largest commercial Sunpower dealer in New Mexico
- Drove CST to achieve nearly 50% of the market share for residential PV integration in 12 months of operations
- Positioned CST to develop 3 - 4 MW of utility-owned centralized PV projects in 2010
