Claudia Huerta

As a Market Entry Specialist, Ms. Huerta is an experienced economic development specialist and has extensive international trade expertise building customized market entry strategies for small and medium-sized businesses.

In her most recent role as the Assistant Director of the Center for International Trade in Santa Ana and the California–Mexico Trade Assistance Centers, Ms. Huerta’s knowledge, expertise and leadership advanced the mission of the centers and brought extensive international trade and business expertise to the Orange County Area. She was responsible for global trade programs and spearheaded advocacy efforts to bolster international trade, increase foreign direct investment and expand export opportunities for the greater Orange County region.

Her efforts facilitated the first joint Bi-National meeting of Orange County mayors, elected officials and business leaders and the five of the Mayors of the Baja Region; the first strategic coalition between these two regions to collaborate in developing mutual efforts in the areas of economic development, tourism and public safety. Since then, these efforts have paved the way for the continued dialogue between both regions, working with members of SBA, the U.S. Commercial Service Office and ProMexico in coordinating numerous seminars and briefings arranged between public and private sector interests in the US and Mexico.
